Maple Syrup Cocktails
We’ve given classic cocktails a maple syrup makeover. Try our delicious maple syrup cocktails – The Maple Old Fashioned, Maple Margarita & Maple Mojito.
Maple Old Fashioned
A long-time favourite of Bourbon lovers around the world, the Old Fashioned is not for the faint-hearted! Replace the sugar with maple syrup to add an aromatic twist:
Stir one shot of Bourbon with two ice cubes in a glass. Add half a shot of maple syrup and a dash of Angostura (or a bitter of your choice). Stir, add two ice cubes and the rest of the bourbon. Stir lots, add more ice and garnish with orange zest.
Maple Margarita
This adds a warm, woody note to the most famous Tequila cocktail in the world!
Combine two ounces of tequila with the juice of one lime and an ounce of maple syrup. Shake and strain over an ice-filled salt-rimmed glass.
Maple Mojito
Again, the Maple syrup substitutes the sugar in this classic favourite.
Combine 12 ounces of lime juice, 12 ounces of maple syrup and about 30 mint leaves in a large mixing bowl. Muddle mint leaves using a wooden peddle. Add 12 ounces of white rum and top with 51 ounces of soda water. Serve in glasses over ice and garnish with mint and lime slices.
