Autumn Maple beer

Autumn – ‘season of mists and mellow fruitfulness’, as Keats described it in his famous ode.

No mention, however, of the mellow fruitfulness of Autumn Maple, a delicious new beer we’ve discovered in Worcestershire, where cider and perry are usually king.

It’s the creation of Popes Brewing Company, Worcester, who add pure Canadian maple syrup to the beer late on in the brewing process.

It’s a dark amber bitter, with a sweet aroma and a nutty/biscuit taste – with a lovely hint of maple.
