Ingredients
For the Jujubes
- Vegetable oil
- 60 ml apple juice
- 60 ml pure maple syrup
- 1 tbsp lemon juice, squeezed
- 2 packets neutral gelatin
Method
Stovetop Method
- Lightly oil some silicone ice cube trays.
- Put all the liquid ingredients (apple juice, maple syrup, lemon juice) in a small saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin on the surface and allow to stand for 5 minutes.
- Heat the saucepan over low heat while stirring constantly until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
- Stir well and pour the mixture into the moulds.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes until set.
Microwave Method
- Lightly oil silicone ice cube trays.
- Put the apple juice in a microwavable bowl, sprinkle the gelatin on the surface, and allow to stand for 5 minutes.
- Heat the bowl at power level 60 in the microwave for 30 seconds. If the mixture is not quite liquid, return to the microwave for another 10–15 seconds.
- Stir in the maple syrup and lemon juice. Mix well and pour into the moulds.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes until set.
