Maple Pineapple Upside Down Cocktail

Ingredients
- 50ml vanilla vodka
- 25ml almond liqueur
- 25ml pure maple syrup (preferably golden for its delicate flavour)
- 20ml fresh lime juice
- 120ml fresh pineapple juice
- 15ml grenadine
- Ice
- 2 lime slices to garnish
- 1 slice of fresh pineapple (cut in half) to garnish
Method
- Place two glasses into refrigerator to chill for at least 10 minutes.
- Fill cocktail shaker halfway with ice then pour all the ingredients except for the grenadine.
- Cover the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously until chilled to the touch, about 15-20 seconds.
- Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the drink into two chilled glasses with ice cubes.
- Slowly pour the grenadine into each drink.
- Place the lime and the pineapple garnishes on each glass, serve immediately.
